DeskView helps make calls far more accessible by allowing you to place a captioned call directly from your browser or live stream the same captions from your phone onto a computer screen. To use DeskView, you must first register for an InnoCaption account (if you don't already have one) and log into the DeskView portal using your cell phone number and account password. Your InnoCaption app and DeskView login details are the same.
DeskView is also a great feature to use if you need captioning on Zoom meetings or other video conference calls. Please refer to the article here for more details and instructions.

Using DeskView
When you launch DeskView, you will see a dial pad with speaker and microphone settings. Please refer to the graphic below for how to use the features.
Making Your First Captioned Call
DeskView works just like your phone's regular dialer. Simply login to the DeskView portal and use the dial pad to enter the number you wish to call. Once the call connects, whatever the other person on the line says will be captioned on the screen. If you would like to see detailed instructions or a video of this process, visit how do I make an outbound call from my desktop computer?
Receiving Captioned Calls
If you would like to receive captioned calls, you must pick up calls on your phone using the InnoCaption app, and the DeskView portal will mirror the captions on your phone. At this time, you are not able to pick up calls directly from the DeskView portal.
Selecting Caption Modes
InnoCaption offers live captioning through highly skilled stenographers. Our stenographers come with years of training and work hard to ensure you don't miss any important information in your calls. If you prefer not to have a live assistant on your call, we also provide the option for captioning through best-in-class automated speech recognition software (ASR).
What are the differences between the two caption modes (ASR and CA) and which should I use?
InnoCaption puts you in control, allowing you to choose between these two different methods of captioning depending on your accessibility needs and the nature of your call. You can choose between stenographer (CA) or automated speech recognition (ASR) captioning by tapping on the caption mode drop box on top of the dial pad, You can also switch between caption modes during a call using the same drop box. If your captioning preference is CA, we recommend keeping your default setting to 'CART PRIORITY'. This will ensure that even if all CAs are busy, your call will still go through.

Using Text-to-Speech (TTS)
InnoCaption is working hard to make calls more accessible. We now have a feature called Text-to-Speech. This feature allows you to convert text into speech with natural sounding human voices. Text-to-Speech was developed to assist our users who have difficulty being understood by automated systems. Using this feature, our users can type short prompts such as, "Yes" or "Representative," to navigate these systems with greater ease. Our newly released Text-to-Speech feature is available on DeskView.
